I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Computational Sciences and Engineering (CCSE) in the Computational Research Division of the Computing Sciences Directorate at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
I received my PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Computation in 2015 from MIT. My PhD work dealt with the development of efficient numerical methods for solving the Boltzmann transport equation describing phonon transport. My current research is in the field of fluctuating hydrodynamics. I simulate the influence of random fluctuations on the behavior of electrolytes in solution, without using (and therefore eliminating the cost of) a molecular description. The objective of this work is to improve our understanding of heat and mass transfer processes that are essential in nanoengineering.
